The journey of prayer is fluid and multifaceted. Paul said, “Pray without ceasing.” We have found that nothing happens unless we pray. We can do good works, we can preach good sermons, but prayer allows in the presence of God that brings change.
Education
Jesus’ disciples asked, “Lord, teach us to pray.” At Grace, you can learn how to pray and develop your relationship with the Lord. You can also make a difference by calling heaven’s will to come to this earth to bring expansion to God’s Kingdom, healing and provision. We do this with monthly Prayer Seminars and our Wednesday Night Bible Study and Prayer Service.
Equipping
Prayer is a vital part of the life and vitality of Grace. Therefore, it is incorporated in all aspects of daily ministry. The opportunities to equip you to be effective in prayer are many and include: Pre-service Prayer times, Prayer meetings, Prayer breakfasts (men & women), a Week of Prayer, and an All-night Prayer meeting.
Empowered
With education and equipping, we hope to empower you to be involved in some of the more extensive areas concerning prayer. These include Intercessory Prayer teams, Deliverance, Cleansing Stream and Theophostic Prayer and a television Prayer Partner ministry team. You will also have the opportunity to be a part of our Prayer ministry team that operates during all regular Sunday morning services. All of these levels require an application through the Pastor of Prayer.

Pastor Mike and Liz Hooper have been in full-time ministry since 1985. They were head pastors at churches in Oregon, Washington and California. They have also served on the Christian Evangelistic Assemblies Department of International Ministries Board since 1993. Mike and Liz have a history rich with prayer, having led daily Morning Prayer meetings for many years. Mike is the Pastor of Prayer at Grace and also leads the Pastoral Care Team, Support Groups and Counseling. He oversees the Grace Mission ministry, the Senior ministry (55+), as well as the Outreach ministry. Mike and Liz bring a passion and heart for God to each of their many areas of ministry. Their motto is, “Live a life of great adventure in prayer!”
